Texts.com (now part of Automattic) is a unified messenger. It pulls DMs from everywhere on the internet into one app. I worked on user-facing features, deeper system integration, and parts of the iOS app.
Native Bridge
The thing I'm most proud of is hidden behind a tiny “Render without Electron” checkbox. It lets the app render in WKWebView and use a Swift layer for native OS integration instead of Electron.
Memory drops hard. You get native HEVC decoding. Animations and blurs get faster. It is, overall, just the best thing ever.
